Each format has specific data requirements. How to Generate a Barcode

Print Quality Tips

A barcode is only useful if a scanner can read it reliably. Ensure sufficient quiet zones, the blank margins on either side of the bars, by keeping the margin setting at the recommended minimum. Print on a white or light-coloured background with dark bars for maximum contrast. Avoid scaling barcodes down below the minimum size specified by the symbology standard, as narrow bars can merge together and become unscannable.

For thermal label printers, export at the highest available resolution. For inkjet or laser printers, the SVG export guarantees clean edges at any DPI. Test-scan your printed barcode with a smartphone app before committing to a full print run.
